Just read your October 16 and 24 entries. It is interesting that I and at least 5 of my closest friends all had serious meltdowns on October 21 – for each of us, the reasons were individual, but nothing that would account for such deep emotional despondency.

Hi Brenda, I just read your “You Are Not Losing Yourself – Just Expanding Your Skills” and I want to thank you because it is a needed post and so well written.Going through transition is already a roller coaster but I have to say that the pressure from those around who keep forcing us to fit in, makes it all even more hard as we are trying to learn our new coordenates. Thanks so much, C.
27.
lifetapestrycreations | January 22, 2011 at 8:59 pm
Dear Carla,
It is a roller coaster isn’t it? Even though we’re all heading in the same direction, we’re on different roller coasters! Just listen to your heart and you’ll move in the time and pace that’s right for you. But I have to admit that I need to remind myself of that also – it’s so easy to get caught up in “shoulds” even in the New Age – we’re all so used to following guidelines that it’s sometimes difficult to create our own!

lifetapestrycreations | March 16, 2011 at 8:47 pm
Love and light to you also Annaa.
The last few weeks seemed so filled with natural and man-made disasters, that I needed to make sense of it all also. That’s one of the many reasons I love channeling – I learn new concepts or am better able to put the “pieces together” as I hope is true for those who read my blogs.

Thank so much for such a relevant post..I was just this minute talking to someone about looking after herself and stop trying to look after her sisters and brothers when they all have their own lives. Its incredible this person holds on to the belief that she needs to sort every ones problems out or at least be there for them.
It’s that victim mode. isnt it? Sp appropriate thank you.. look forward to more in the future.
32.
lifetapestrycreations | May 11, 2011 at 9:19 am
Most definitely the care taker role that turns into victim hood. It’s such a difficult chain to break – society still tells us we should give our lives to others – even though it means we “drown with the person we’re trying to save” Both the care taker and the victim (which are interchangeable!) are moved off track – unless it comes from your heart. But I’m thinking that if your friend is talking about it – she probably wants you to help her fix it also. Not from the heart just another society belief that she should.

I really enjoy reading your blog. Thank you for providing it!
Today’s “Are You Surprising Yourself With Your Actions? ” is something that I really connected with. Self worth is a very challenging hurdle for me and I will have it completely behind me soon. But I feel like I take one step forward and two steps backward lately with my job and friends. It’s frusterating…
Thank you so much!
44.
Brenda Hoffman | August 31, 2011 at 9:33 pm
Self worth is difficult for most of us. Our society doesn’t encourage us to develop it. Remember that old saying, “Just who do you think you are?” I heard and sensed that a lot when I was growing up. You might have also. Difficult hurdle to overcome but you’re taking steps forward – slowly (in our minds!) but surely you’re moving into your being…and value. Kudos!!!
Blessings,
Brenda

Hi Brenda, I’m so glad to discover your blog. It’s great to find other baby boomers talking about the changes we are currently going through. Everything else I read seems to be addressed to younger people.
49.
lifetapestrycreations | November 2, 2011 at 6:53 pm
Dear Suzanne,
We baby boomers have always been innovators. Where would the Vietnam protests, women’s rights and Civil rights movements been without us? So here we go again. Watch out world – we baby boomers built the bridge to the New Age and we’re walking across it to the amazement of even ourselves.
Blessings and shouts of joy,
Brenda

lifetapestrycreations | January 17, 2012 at 9:46 pm
Dear Jan,
Thank you so much. Channeling gives me such joy. And to know that it helps others better understand this transition (I’m obviously an instructor at heart!) just makes channeling that much more joyful. I also channel for selfish reasons – I also better understand this wonderful transition with every channeling session.
Blessings and Joy,
Brenda

63.
lifetapestrycreations | January 23, 2012 at 9:53 am
Dear Zeeahh,
Isn’t this life just amazing? I went through much of the “eye of the storm” 20 years ago and know how painful it is. But I like who I am so much better now – and yes, I continue to peel off onion layers of belief. But what’s happening now is not close to being as painful as it was 20 years ago. I’m stronger and better know who I am and where I want to go. We may always be “peeling the onion” but each layer is just seems so much easier to access and move through. What a wondrous life to be on earth!
Blessings and Joy,
Brenda
